Allan and Corban went on a big trip back to NZ. It was all a bit touch and go because Corban didn’t have a current passport and they needed to arrive in NZ as a surprise for Mum and Dad’s fiftieth Wedding Anniversary. Luckily the passport arrived on the Monday before they flew out on the Thursday. The only people who knew they were coming was Granddad Forlong and Bridgit McQuillin, it was all pretty exciting! It was a really special surprise when they turned up at Mum and Dad’s, I loved hearing how Dad (Graeme) thought the voice sounded like Allan when he asked him to come and open the door on the intercom! It was fantastic that the whole family could be together for the celebration. Allan and Corban spent the rest of the week catching up with friends, going fishing with Granddad ... eating weekbix and marmite!! Corban was really happy getting some kiwiana clothes which she wears with pride in Prague.
