London - BETT Conference, a set on Flickr.
Riverside sent me to the BETT Conference this year in London. It is a massive conference that about 30,000 teachers go to over 4 days. I went with a colleague (Computer Science Teacher from Senior High) from Tuesday to Saturday. The conference was great, I learnt heaps and go to test out lots of the latest computing and design technology products for schools. After dinner each night I wondered around London and on the Friday night even managed to catch up with some old school friends from NZ, that was pretty cool. I couldn’t believe how much London has changed since I was last there, 17 years ago. There are heaps of modern buildings all mixed in with the old. Not many photo’s my phone battery was pretty flat at the end of each day as I was using it to take notes and photos at the conference, plus I really only got to see London by night. Check out the price of the green box of chocolate, I was going to get them for Allan ... but I figured it was the thought that counted and that he wouldn’t appreciate me spending £40 on a 435g box of chocolate!
