A nice quite day today, relaxing at home in the morning, Leo needing a big sleep after his day in Budapest. After lunch we went for a swim in the lake which we have learnt more about. Lake Balaton is the second biggest peat lake in the world. So it looks nice and blue, but once you’re up close it’s kind of murky (peat). This time Taylor saw a snake! Apparently it’s really good for you, cures aches and pains etc. After our swim we walked through the most gorgeous little village Tihany. It is full of thatched cottages with quirky things for sale (mum would have loved all the tea cups, pottery and interesting little nic nac’s). There are also amazing views from the lookout hill at the top of the village.
