We have visited both Karlstejn Castle and Kutna Hora before but thought it was a good day trip for mum as both cities have cool stuff to offer. Leo was happy to take mum of a tour of Karlstejn Castle and mum went for a tour of the Gothic Cathedral that took 600 years to build in Kutna Hora. Unfortunately we didn't quite make it to the bone church which was something mum was interested in seeing, I guess she'll just have to come back :+)
