L’oasi di biodiversita di Galbusera Bianca & Lecco

Another beautiful day in Milan, this morning we drove 30 minutes to the L’oasi di biodiversita di Galbusera Bianca (orchard).  It is a WWF oasis for the great wealth of its collection of old varieties of apples, pears, plums, figs, peaches and tomatoes.  It is only spring so the fruit trees were only beginning to grow for the summer, but it was still neat.  We had a picnic lunch up a small hill overlooking the valley.   Next we drove to the village of Lecco, another cute village nestled in the mountains beside the beautiful lake Como, it had a lovely little town centre.   A nice quiet day out compared with visiting the city of Milan.
