On Saturday Allan and I took Corban and Leo out for a walk. While out and about we came across a Baby Drop Box ... I know babies are sometimes abandoned, but this really struck a chord with me. My heart goes out to any mother who finds herself in the position that she would need to put her baby in one of these. Yet on the positive side, the child will hopefully end up in an adopted home of a loving family. Some friends of ours (Pastor and School nurse) who we have met since living here have an adopted daughter who was abandoned, so I know that good can come of this horrible situation. It was interesting when I googled about the boxes, they are extremely controversial and I guess I can see both sides of the argument.
