Karlskoga, Sweden

Leaving Oslo we had a two-day stay over in a little Swedish countryside town called Karlskoga.  This time we stayed in a farm cottage through air b’n’b, it was the cutest cottage with an elderly couple who lived in the main house at the front of the property.

Within 10 minutes of our arrival Leo fell down the front steps and needed a bit of a patch up on his head.  His split didn’t stop bleeding after a couple of hours so we ended up taking him to the local hospital to get it glued back together.  Thankfully we have great medical insurance because it was a $250 visit.  Not to mention on the morning that we were leaving he fell down some different steps and re split his head, so before we left it was another visit to the hospital.

It was a very quite visit in Karlskoga, after our first hospital visit we saw some local motorbike racing and had a walk through the farm garden which has little elf houses and trolls scatters through the trees.  There was a lovely garden that Corban and Leo could play in, they loved picking and eating the wild strawberries.  We were all hoping to see moose that live nearby but the weather is a little hot for them to come out of the forest so we had to make do with some wild deer and a dead beaver and dead badger on the road.
