Ice Skating , a set on Flickr.

Thought we would have a go at ice skating. Everyone fell at least once but had a great time. Corban almost got the hang of it, she figured out how to steady herself on the ice and could skate along holding hands. Leo on the other had was all legs, he could walk around on the ground ok, and managed to hold his feet together enough when he was supported so that you could hold/push him along ... but he loved it! Taylor is keen to go again. It was pretty fun ice skating outside and was actually a really nice day, we all had to take our jackets off!!

Christmas, a set on Flickr.
Christmas in the Czech Republic is celebrated on Christmas Eve, so we did the same which was a nice surprise for the kids (Taylor anyway). We did not eat a traditional Czech meal which is Carp and potato salad because basically everyone chickened out! I forgot to get a photo but the Carp is sold on the street corners in these big barrels ... you pick out which one you want, they hit it on the head with this mallet thing and slice it up for you or you can take it home alive and leave it in the bath for a couple of days to clean and kill it yourself!! Hence why everyone chickened out! We opted for a Salmon, eggs benedict breakfast (fish is big here) followed by an afternoon roast meal. Thanks to everyone who either sent a gift recently or put money in the kids accounts, they all appreciated it!

Plzen , a set on Flickr.

As we work our way through European history we decided to visit another main city in the Czech Republic. After several days of war history we decided for something a little more light hearted and visited the Pilsen Brewery Museum. A few weeks ago a tour guide told us that the Czech's like to conserve water and drink beer instead! Plzen is the home of Pilsner Urquell beer which is very common here. Ever since we got to the Czech Republic we have laughed about the cost of beer ... it is cheaper than coke, water or a juice box for the kids!! The Brewery Museum was interesting and as you can see the kids could touch everything which they were pretty happy about. We were also going to visit the first underground but the minimum age was 3 and lets just face it Leo barely passes for two :+) Nana & Grandad we had to change how the photos got put on the blog because I used up all space on Photobucket. If you click on a picture it will come up bigger and you can then flick through the set with the next button. Let me know if you have any problems.
