Aubagne France , a set on Flickr.
We were welcomed to our new holiday home with a 6 course French meal with the family we are exchanging with. They also had some friends from Italy and their Grandma who lives about 100m down the road. It was a fantastic night; we absolutely loved the food and being taught our basic manners in French. We have had a couple of lazy days so far in Aubagne (about 25km from the 2nd largest city in France) with a couple of walks around the main town, lots of swimming in the pool and a dip in a nearby beach. The weather has been really hot, so having a swimming pool is a bonus. It has been great seeing Corban and Leo grow in confidence in the water. The other interesting thing is all the little animals that seem to wonder through our garden. The kids were happy with a cat ... but when a little tortoise came to visit on our second, some lizards the next; followed by a squirrel it was all just a bit exciting. Once again the town is full of interesting little streets and markets, we are becoming very good at adjusting to different ways to buy food and using other languages.
Our new holiday home :+)
